Alyssa and John were married in one of my favorite locations at one of my favorite venues in all of Montana: the gravel bar along the Blackfoot at the Resort at Paws Up in Greenough. It’s a dicey proposition in early October and we were given a little sprinkle, but the fall palette and cool temperatures made for a wonderful shoulder season day.
Alyssa and John were joined by a small grouping of their favorite friends and family for their riverside ceremony and a reception at the Paws Up barn in the evening. Coincidentally, the James Beard Foundation was in town for a little celebration so the wedding was able to get the same menu!
Alyssa and John scheduled in enough time for us to span the ranch during portrait time and get photos within the forest, at a cliff overlooking the river, and at the top of the valley above the meadows of the ranch. A couple weeks later and Alyssa might have struggled to be outside without her jacket, but the timing was perfect for a fall wedding!
