When reading through Caroline and Ryan’s questionnaire answer about why they are chose Montana to get married (they are from Colorado), one of the highlights was the amount of time Ryan has spent in the state fishing. (Also, there was a line that he dreamed of hunting and fishing here as a kid, which is exactly how I grew up as well!) So it was apt that not only did the group of guys spend a full day prior to the wedding fishing, but also the morning of. And with unlimited coverage that means it was photographed! Unfortunately I wasn’t with the right guys to see a fish get caught, but it might have been better just watching the special relationship between Ryan and his nephew, Gavin, develop. It was hinted to me before that they were tight so it was nice to see a precursor to what would be coming during and after the ceremony later on.
Caroline and Ryan’s wedding was a classic example of why I love offering unlimited coverage. Things unfolded naturally all day and I was able to check off the required boxes efficiently then spend a lot of time searching out smaller moments, many of which involved the adorable kids and dogs. Be sure to watch the slideshow for more of those. Also, the emotion of this day was so powerful. It’s rare to see tears coming from a groom, but I was able to photograph that a couple times. Caroline wasn’t as teary but she sure was smiley! And those toasts, I think you can see in the photos how powerful they were!
