Some couples make me feel that I was always meant to photograph them. It was clear immediately that Cathleen and Robert were these people, as they placed a high priority on time together, between themselves and with their guests. Being in the moment was paramount, which was great as there were a lot of great moments throughout the day.
They chose Foster Creek Farm because they could stand on a high point and overlook numerous mountain ranges and they wanted to be on this spot at sunset. We spent the last half-hour of light up on the ridge above the barn and reception space, just the three of us. It was quiet and serene with an evolving mood as we approached dusk. I think the portraits we got are some of my favorite low-light photos of the year, which were then followed by some of my favorite high-energy dancing photos of the year!
