I’m going to open this blog post with one of the coolest things I have ever seen at a wedding: Henry’s brother sang opera during the reception and it touched me (and the entire audience) like nothing I have felt before. I haven’t been to an opera before and didn’t know what to expect, but it was incredibly powerful and the type of experience I love to be present for, when guests and bridal party alike let their guard down and let their emotions flow. It was beautiful and majestic and one of the greatest gifts I’ve seen at a wedding.
Emily and Henry met on a very cold ski trip a number of years ago and continued to figure out ski trips that winter while one lived in Montana and the other in Wyoming. Eventually they decided to give it a go and made a move to live in Bozeman together. Their dog, Harken, who is quite old, was able to be present for both the engagement and the wedding, so I tried to give him his photographic due.
This is a real fun slideshow with guests camping on the grounds, threatening weather, and a great dance party with a live band!
