David Clumpner Blog:Kaitlin + Ben's Wildlife Landing Wedding Photography

This was a really special wedding for me as Kaitlin and Ben booked a long, long time ago and we did an engagement session together last summer, so we already had a relationship prior to the wedding. Also, when reading their wedding website, this line hit me especially hard:

“What’s the most memorable trip you have taken together?

They’ve all been memorable. We just really like spending time with each other :)”

This was really obvious on wedding day and at their engagement session – they’re best friends. They’ve been together forever and all they wanted on their wedding day was to spend more time together. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a couple spend their last few moments before the ceremony tucked away together, but Kaitlin and Ben did and it was so sweet. It wasn’t planned, Ben just came in, correctly predicting who Kaitlin wanted to see most. And they still both cried a few minutes later during the ceremony!

I’m going to include the story of Ben and Kaitlin’s proposal because I love how much planning went into it, including renting my favorite Missoula breakfast spot for a private dinner! Ben, you’ve set the bar high!

“Ben proposed on May 5th which was our anniversary. He dropped down on one knee at Caras Park while I was facing away from him and spoke my name. I turned around to find him holding a ring and was completely surprised. We then went to a private dinner at the Catalyst Cafe which Ben had organized with the owners. After that we hopped over to the Florence lobby where a large group of friends and family were waiting for us. Ben also organized this. Finally after all that Ben swept me away to Flathead lake for the rest of the weekend for a cabin getaway with two of our closest friends Dave and Raven. “
