I was so excited for Marina and Tor’s wedding from the beginning, as they described it as a wedding-dance party, then expanded to mention that the dress code was “costume”. Wait until you see some of the outfits in the dance party section of the slideshow!
We began the day with a hike up the Rattlesnake in Missoula. When we reached the stream, Marina and Tor decided to take a swim, but they hadn’t brought their swimsuits. They aren’t the types to let that stop them, though, even in the presence of a camera. Afterward, we went for coffee, then everybody began donning their costumes. Tor’s shirt and shoes were fabulous. Later in the evening Marina and Tor switched up their outfits for dancing – Marina in sparkles and Tor with his light-up shoes (and white pants!).
Also, their engagement story is one of my all-time favorites: “We met for the weekend with some friends, went to a hot spring. Tor was acting weird all day. Finally I asked him if he was being awkward because he didn’t know how to ask me to marry him in the best way. He said “yes”, so we decided to go get Indian food takeout and a six pack, and bushwhacked up the side of Mill Creek Canyon. We sat on a rock, ate our food, had a beer, talked about why we loved each other and why we wanted to get married, and put our rings on. We came back to an impromptu dinner party with our friends, and spent the night dancing at a country bar.”
