In the summer of 2022, Monique and Spencer came to Lone Mountain Ranch in Big Sky, Montana for the beginning of their wedding festivities. They were married there with a small group of friends and family, which I photographed. They still wanted to have the big wedding party, though, just in the place where they met and formed their relationship. New Orleans also happens to be a place known for partying, so it was a good fit.
I joined them for the weekend, which included a friend group watching the St. Patrick’s Day parade, a beautiful rehearsal dinner at Calcasieu, and wedding and reception day at the New Orleans Art Museum. It was all planned and executed exquisitely by Grand Events of New Orleans. I had such a wonderful experience with the entire vendor team, including my favorite second photographer, Annie Bang.
It was such an honor to be with Monique & Spencer and their families for both of these occasions. They’re one of the wittiest and most down-to-earth couples I have worked with. They don’t love the spotlight, which works well for how I photograph. I think this slideshow and wedding is full of small, beautiful moments. It’s one of my favorites.
