Katherine and Kim’s Polebridge wedding was perfect in so many ways, least of which was that neither of them knew what was supposed to happen at a wedding.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 This was the epitome of a casual gathering of friends just having a great day together.\u00a0 And by casual, I mean that Kim was drinking a beer at 10am (partially to get used to having a camera around, haha).\u00a0 The ceremony and an excellent early dinner was at the Polebridge Mercantile<\/a> before we traveled up to Kintla Lake for some evening portraits.\u00a0 It was on this trip that something magnificent happened.\u00a0 Katherine looked out the passenger window to the west and asked if those were deer running out there?\u00a0 But why are they black?\u00a0 I saw them at about this moment and realized that they were in fact wolves!\u00a0 A pack of wolves at a wedding!\u00a0 Kim stopped the car and I ran to the back to get my long lens, but was hindered far too long by not being able to get into the hatch.\u00a0 Eventually I got the correct lens out and was able to snap some photos with both Katherine and Kim in the foreground and a few of the wolves running across the prairie.\u00a0 At 6pm in broad daylight!\u00a0 What a crazy time to see wolves in the open!<\/p>\n

One other note: in lieu of dresses Katherine and Kim wore matching Pendleton<\/a> shirts, which I thought was a pretty awesome twist on traditional wedding attire.<\/p>\n

This is perhaps the shortest “meeting” story, but also perhaps the best: “It was very lesbionic. We met playing softball. But we don’t play softball anymore because it’s boring. ”<\/p>\n
