Bootjack Farm is a homestead property in Whitefish, Montana graced with old growth trees, mossy granite, and a crystal clear creek that flows through the property from its source, Bootjack Lake. The wedding and event venue sits on 30 acres of country gardens, manicured lawn that lay the foundation for a beautiful old west cabin. The bespoke setting is both rustic and refined, the perfect place for a wedding between two laid-back people with style. To complete your destination wedding, Glacier National Park and downtown Whitefish are nearby and offer unique lodging, dining and entertainment options for guests.
Melissa and Alex were the perfect fit for a venue such as Bootjack Farm. They had a special connection to Whitefish from early in their relationship and so wanted an all-inclusive location close by. At Bootjack not only could they stay directly on site, but their guests could stay within 20 minutes of the farm. Their wedding was a special one for me in that they hired me to photograph for two days, the only two-day wedding of the year for me in 2019. The first day was the wedding, a beautiful and emotional event next to the pond at Bootjack Farm. The second day was exclusively a play day and I think every single guest from wedding day attended. There was a tie-dye station, a day-long kubbing competition, swimming at nearby Bootjack Lake, a card game with grandma, and cornhole.
