If you are planning your wedding and are worried about the unpredictable mountain weather, take note, it could be a very memorable experience. Lauren and Duncan had their wedding on top of a mountain outside Bozeman, without a rain plan. This is a gutsy move but it almost always works out. In fact I have never had rain during a wedding ceremony I have been photographing! I argue there's a correlation between hiring me as your photographer and having clear weather, but it's more likely just that rain doesn't actually fall that often and ceremonies are usually quite short.
Lauren and Duncan did in fact make it through their ceremony without rain, but then we had to walk down the mountain to the reception area, which took about 40 minutes. As we descended the old road we could look out across the valley and see the afternoon rain showers rolling in.
