Wedding trends and I don't go together, but I have always experimented a little with some motion blur at weddings. Right now the "in" thing to do is make all your portraits blurry. To me this harkens back to my early days as a stock photographer, when a technically proficient image was of utmost importance. My interpretation on this trend is that it's a cover-up for photographer mistakes. Some photographers do it really well and it's obvious that it's intentional, but I think most photographers don't know what they are doing and just turn it to black-and-white hoping it will be mistaken as art. For this reason, I am very selective in when I will play around with this and even stricter about when I will deliver or post such an image. This is the only image I have ever posted publicly. I think it's beautiful and blurry in a different way, almost abstractly.
