Finding small moments at a wedding comes second only to photographing big moments well for me. Both of these types of photos define my candid approach to weddings, but I get a great deal of pleasure out of the smaller moments. These are the things that the couple will look back upon later and never remember having happened. They are the moments that define who the couple is and how they love each other. Here Garrett is holding Ashli’s dress just after doing some portraits in a horse barn at the Stock Farm Club in Hamilton, Montana. He didn’t even need to be asked by Ashli, he just picked it up to help her along. It’s that kind of support between each half of a couple that I love seeing and photographing on wedding day.
