Luann and Brendon along the Gallatin River near Rainbow Ranch in Big Sky, Montana. This photo was taken during on my favorite times of day to do portraits: after the sun has set. The light flattens and hums down consistently towards dark, making the portraits really moody and exquisite in black and white. I am almost exclusively photographing with black-and-white in mind at this time of day, and this photo shows why.
