I find that surprises at a wedding, whether planned or otherwise, create some of the best moments to be photographed. This was especially true for Sarah and Karl’s wedding, which was full of them. Here’s a sampling of what unfolded on their day: Karl’s tux arrived via Fedex a couple hours prior to the ceremony, the First Look featured Karl’s best friend in a wedding dress instead of Sarah (though there was a second round with her as the main feature), and then a “flower dude” handed out roses to the ladies in the audience on his way down the aisle. The party was serious enough to have a glow stick exit tunnel and an after party with dozens of pizzas and a bonfire, as well as a homemade hustle dance that the entire bridal party and family learned and performed. We were able to sneak into Glacier prior to the ceremony to do some bridal party photos, then Sarah, Karl, and Maid of Honor, Beth, and I went back into the park the following evening for a late night of portraits in one of the most beautiful places in the world. This was the way to do a big Glacier wedding.
